Dunbar Builders
Pat Dunbar has been building custom homes in the Columbia, South Carolina area since 1994. A graduate of the Indiana University, Pat is past
president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, and served 16 years on the Richland County Planning Commission. Son Patrick
joined the company in 1999 after graduating from the College of Charleston. The father-son team are regular Tour of Homes participants, having
recently won “Best Plan” in the over $500,000 category; and, in 2006, won “Best Overall Plan” in the Columbia Parade Homes.
SE Ayers Company
Founded by first and second generation home builders Sam and Kenneth Ayers, The SE Ayers Company has been building quality custom homes in the
Columbia, South Carolina area since 1986. Consulting with local architects and interior designers, The SE Ayers Company uses only a select set
of craftsmen who have demonstrated their ability and willingness to perform to high standards and expectations of quality custom home building.
Both Sam and Kenneth are actively involved in the building process, and are the primary contacts for each custom home project.
Waldner Custom Homes, Inc.
Established in 1993 by Clarence Waldner, Waldner Custom Homes builds about 20 traditional upscale homes each year ranging in size from 2,500 to
6,000 square feet. Careful attention is given to design and detail with each new home featuring the exquisite custom trim work that has become
their trademark. Working with only highly-skilled craftsmen and first quality building materials ensures superior quality, individual style and
an abundance of character that makes each home uniquely a “Waldner Custom Home.”
Dent Development & Construction
Richard Dent, president of Dent Development & Construction, describes himself as a “hands-on” new home builder. He feels that it is
imperative that his customers know that he will always have direct communication with them.
Beginning his career as the Lexington County Chief Building Inspector, Richard’s background includes commercial and residential construction.
He is a Certified Residential Inspector, a member of the Greater Columbia Home Builders Association, Professional Builders of South Carolina, and
the National Association of Home Builders.
Richard builds approximately six to eight new homes per year.
